I have Masters in Mountain Forestry from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, Austria and B.Sc. Forestry from the College of Natural Resources, Royal University of the Bhutan. I completed three years Diploma in Forestry from the Natural Resources Training Institute, Bhutan. I joined the service in 1995 under the Department of Forestry, Royal Government of Bhutan.

As a researcher, I am primarily interested in the studies on forest ecology, species conservation and climate change mostly related to alien invasive plants and insects (bark beetles and butterflies diversities).
