I have graduated from Kanglung Sherubtse College with Bachelor of Science in 1990. Immediately after the graduation, I have joined militia and served as militia officer from 1991-1994 and joined Department of Forest in 1995. In the year 1995 itself I got an opportunity to undergo Divisional Forest Officer training with Indian Forest Service Probationers in Indra Gandhi National Forest Academy, Dehradun under Columbia Plan Scholarship from 1995-1998 and awarded Masters of Science in forestry. After serving more than four years at various forestry official capacities under the same Department, I was awarded Austrian government scholarship to undergo Masters of Science in Mountain Forestry at Boku University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna, Austria from 2002-2004. I also got lot of professional development training opportunities abroad to broaden my knowledge and skills in natural resources management. After serving more than 20 years at different managerial level I applied for specialist post in 2013 and became one of the specialists under Department of Forest and Park Services and very recently I became the Head Specialist of UWICER in July 2017. My professional skills and expertise are in Regeneration Ecology, Forest Fire Management and Integrated Watershed Management.
