I have a Doctorate in Natural Resources and Life Sciences from University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU), Vienna, Austria (2016), MSc. Forestry Degree from Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy, Dehradun, India (2007).

For my post-graduate degree I studied the drought stress tolerance and climate change adaptation potentials of main forest types in Bhutan.

My current research focus is in the areas of impacts of climate change on the water resources, wetland ecosystems, and forest ecosystems in general. I am also keen to study the long-term societal impacts of climate change and the possible adaptation options for building community resilience in Bhutan.
