DAMBER KUMAR GHIMIRAY [ FOREST RANGER I ]


I have a B.Sc. Forest Science, from College of Natural Resources, Royal university of Bhutan (2016) and a Diploma in General Forestry, from the College of Natural Resources, Royal university of Bhutan (2007). I am interested in Forest ecology, environment and climate study, Biodiversity Conservation, Watershed Management and Hydrology.  

I joined the research in 2010 at RNR RDC Yusipang and currently attached to Climate and Water Research at UWICER-Thimphu and carry out climate change and adaptation research in western Bhutan. Prior to my appointment in the research system, I worked as a Park Ranger at Phrumshingla National Park, Ura, Bumthang for 3 years (2007-2010) .

My future research fields are on Climate Change impacts, governance and adaptation, Climate and water balance linking to land use and ecosystems and Dendroclimatology.
