ToT - Technical Instruction and Pedagogy

As a part of national accreditation process for the certificate training program, two-week's  Training of Trainers - Technical Instruction and Pedagogy (Skills) Training is underway at the Ugyen Wangchuck Institute for Conservation and Environmental Research. The training is conducted with the help of resource persons from Department of Technical Education (DoTE), Ministry of Labour and Human Resources (MoLHR), Thimphu.

The main objective of conducting the training for the staff of UWICER is to certify the teaching faculties of the institute to teach National Certificates courses. In addition, this is also geared towards accreditation of course offered  at the Institute by the Department of Occupational Standard (DOS) to meet the national and international standard. Currently, UWICER offers National Certificate-II and National Certificate-III forester courses. 

A total of 13 staff from UWICER headquarter and sub-centers is attending the two weeks ToT - Technical Instruction and Pedagogy (skills) Module-1 training that started on 14th May and will end on 26th May, 2018.
